THE ANNUAL NATIONAL SAA SOUTH AFRICA RETREAT: 5 – 7 JUNE 2026
The annual retreat always takes place in the first weekend of June. Online attendance is completely free and open to both South African and international attendees.

ABOUT THE RETREAT
The SAA South Africa Annual Retreat is a yearly recovery-focused gathering designed to strengthen:
• fellowship
• unity
• sponsorship
• service
• spiritual growth
• and recovery connection across meetings and regions.
This year’s theme:
Together We Recover
The retreat combines:
• national and international speakers
• recovery discussions
• fellowship activities
• step work sharing
• PI/CPC service discussions
• and interactive recovery-focused sessions.
Both newcomers and long-time members are welcome.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This retreat is open to:
• newcomers
• long-time members
• sponsors and sponsees
• online attendees
• international guests
• and anyone seeking stronger recovery connection.
You do not need prior retreat experience to attend.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The retreat will include:

• PI/CPC presentations
• and interactive recovery sessions.
The retreat is intentionally structured to encourage connection, unity, and participation.

• Is the retreat free?
Yes! You may attend online or in person for free. Those travelling or requiring accommodation need to cover the costs themselves
• Can international attendees join?
Yes! Please check the times above for your relevant timezone
• Is this only for South African members?
You do not need to be a member to join and newcomers are welcome
• Can I attend only part of the retreat?
Of course. Attend any sessions either online, in person or a combination of both
• Do I need to keep my webcam on?
Yes. In the interests of safety and security, it is required that all online participants have their webcam active at all times.
• Will recordings be available?

The SAISAA Activities Committee is currently planning additional workshops and fellowship/social events (such as picnics and braais). Updates will be shared once dates and venues are confirmed. Please watch this space.
